Oklahoma City, Ok

« on: July 09, 2010, 07:53:47 PM »

Got a late start today around 1pm and decided to call it a day in St Louis.  I would have made it further if I would have had the Black Pearl's Captain with me to keep the gas stops down to 3 minutes. He wouldn't put up with those 10 minute breaks I was taking when I stopped for gas. Evil

A few light rain showers getting out of Oklahoma but not enough to put on the rain gear.  Sky cleared once I hit Springfield, Mo and it was smooth sailing all the way.  Seven hours at 3600 RPM and the ole Valk never broke a sweat.

I tell you, nothing eats up miles like a Honda Valkyrie!

Tomorrow morning its off to see Deadwood and the Res-erector!

Scott, it's DeadEye, not Deadwood.

Or has Carolyn been telling secrets. Wink

....once you,re in Michigan on I 75 ...and you leave civilization and ride into the woods....theres a 10 mile streach right before you hit West Branch..(about 55 miles outside of Grayling)....that wooded area is the only spot I know of that you will encounter local boys and Stateys ...laying in wait....so thorttle down just a bit...80 mph should do it...    Cool
