Six-Shooter and I went for an early morning ride yesterday to beat heat. Well that didn't work out, we were still gone all day, and still too hot, always a good time though!
Stopped for the Sunrise @ Madiera Beach's new John's Pass Draw bridge, this is huge and they actually built two side by side. Each is two lanes, one either direction? Is one a back-up? Or just double tax dollars? Shocked Anyhoo, pretty cool.

This would have been a good shot, I must have shivered from the cool morning temps,
(under 90 degrees)

These huge gears or "splines" move the bridge up and down. I'm told they used to use Molly grease and now use Bell-Ray Waterproof, cause it holds up better and doesn't dry out like the Molly Roll Eyes

Talked to the guy in the pump room, he says they used to use Mobil-1, but things made allot of noise and leaked, then they switched to Rosmella, and the locals complained of the smell. They are now using Amsoil and everything is OK.
We then pressed on South to Skyway Jacks for breakfast, yessiree, Picnic ham and eggs. Parked under the big chicken, he like to guard the Valkyrie's.

Pressed onward over the Skyway bridge to Bradenton or Sarasota, somewhere down there to Happ's Motorcycle shop. Ran into several Valkyrie riders who know of the VRCC, but don't go there. One had his bike since new, only 11K on the clock ??? Then ran into our very own "Ricoman" Pleasure meeting you, enjoyed talking with you cooldude

Then heading homeward, decided to stop on the Manatee river for wings and refreshments.

Ran into this gal again, seems to be popping up more and more Cheesy
We had a great day riding, hope you all did too.

it was a good day, hope you enjoyed a bit of Sarasota
the pic with the bikes blurred is how I think of the black ones-always a tad out of focus (too fast? or not fsat enough?)
was good to meet a forum member in person for the first ime
I'm sure it will (can) only get better when I meet more.

Doc X, The seat rail is from E-Bay seller, Barry Fick. He's from New Zealand and a 100% positive feedback seller. Good guy to deal with.

Ricoman, Again nice talking with you, enjoyed our conversation! Let me know what you determine is causing your vibration. Good luck cooldude
