Been awhile since I was there... but I loved it.

Bush Gardens, Naval Station Norfolk offers Tours I believe,  Va Beach of course,  and if you are coming down from Bush Gardens to Norfolk Va Beach area.... I would recommend Fisherman's Wharf if you like seafood.

When are you going?  I'm getting hungry just thinking about it......

Was there in 2005, we stayed at the Comfort Inn in Onley, VA because it was significantly cheaper than staying on Chincoteague Island. The staff was nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They even have a couple of rooms with Jaccuzzis.

However, if there wasn't a big difference in price or if money didn't matter Chincoteague Island is much quainter.

If you're looking for nightlife you need to stay in Ocean City, MD.

Be careful on US 13 (the main road) it is rated as one of the most dangerous roads in VA.

The eastern shore is mostly farmland and employs alot of migrant workers, the report that I read blamed the dangerousness of the road on a high number of drunken driving incidents involving migrant workers.

if you are coming to the shore of Va NORTH of the bridge, no sense in stopping til you get to chncoteague island. turn on 175 and go all the way into the island. turn left at the first light at the bottom of the bridge, 1/4 mile on the right is pt pelicans on the bay. great food, kind of outdated decor but food is fantastic and beer is cold. if ya want the best meatlovers in the east, go to marias. right on the main drag. just stay straight at that light.
Ocean city is 10 times better with more food and bikinis than you can shake a stick at. it doesnt matter what kind of food, its here. if you decide to get into Md and come to the beach, look me up. I can give you door to door to any eatery within 30 miles that is good or great. shoot me an email if you want ill give ya my nu8mber. Cheesy I got cold beer, hot coffee and momma cooks like no other.
