Anyone have good info on restaurants, must-see's along the Eastern shore of VA? Planning a trip up there with a buddy next month..
Thanks
Was there in 2005, we stayed at the Comfort Inn in Onley, VA because it was significantly cheaper than staying on Chincoteague Island. The staff was nice and the rooms were clean and comfortable. They even have a couple of rooms with Jaccuzzis.
However, if there wasn't a big difference in price or if money didn't matter Chincoteague Island is much quainter.
If you're looking for nightlife you need to stay in Ocean City, MD.
Be careful on US 13 (the main road) it is rated as one of the most dangerous roads in VA.
The eastern shore is mostly farmland and employs alot of migrant workers, the report that I read blamed the dangerousness of the road on a high number of drunken driving incidents involving migrant workers.
