Just wondering if anybody has checked out the lower wind deflectors (OEM) in the classifieds. Would like to have a set on my valk, just wondering if $2oo is kinda steep. Not sure how much they will improve the ride. mnrider 30547

I use memphis shades. they work, have some adjustment and easily removeable, and a lot cheaper. cooldude

I didn't know the oem deflectors weren't adjustable, that would be the way to go on those hot days. Think i will pass and check out the memphis shades and whatever else i can find out there. thanks for the comment, Ken

Check out Barry's lower deflectors. They are a lot like OEM and about 1/2 the price you've mentioned. Good quality. No affiliation, etc.

Ok, what kinda adjustment are we talking about?  Do you change the height? the angle?

I "bohemian rigged" a set of HD lowers on my '99 Standard (got them for a good price) to eliminate the "helmet bobble" and that is completly gone but now I get a lot of heat from the engine. Will be nice during our 2-3 weeks of cold weather we have here but now, at these 100+deg days, it's a little warmer than I'd like.

I was able to easily lower them about an inch (used the existing extra bolt hole) and that seemed to help by allowing some airflow but I don't want to go too low and have the bobble again.  To go any lower I need to do a bit more "riggin."  I'm just thinking I may be barking up the wrong tree!
