Most of you know that I have Lupus.  Well, since the doctor said I can't ride right now, I've decided to throw myself into my cause.  I am coordinating a Lupus Awareness walk in September.  This is a disease that has no cure, effects all the organs in your body, and can be extremely painful at times.  Two of the pain medications that are beneficial to Lupus patients are off limits to me because of my degenerative eye disease.  So far this has not gotten to my kidneys, but they have to check my blood every three months.

If you can contribute to our cause, please go to the following link:

http://donate.lupus.org/site/TR/Walk/General?px=2040640&pg=personal&fr_id=1380

There is also a ton of information concerning this deadly disease at www.lupus.org

If you can't contribute, that's okay, I'll take prayers, too.  Thanks in advance  angel

Thanks, Joe  cooldude

I still would like to get a few things to auction off, too, if that's ok with you.  Also, if the doctor says I still can't ride, I'm thinking I may cage it, let Beekeeper ride, and if I know how many people are attending, I might be able to cook something up.  I know Steamer has been begging for some Taco Soup, LOL.

As everybody already knows, this is a pretty awesome club.   Smiley

UPDATE:

one more time and then I'll stop bugging ya'll..  Grin

Selby is kicking my butt...I was in the lead and now she has passed me.

If you can donate anything...$1, $5, whatever, it is appreciated.  I know it's not about who brings in the most money, but it must be the competitive spirit in me.

Also, thanks to all our wonderful VRCC friends who are helping out the day of the walk, Moonshine, Magoo, Cool Breeze, Charligirl, you guys are so awesome  Smiley

Lupus is an awful disease and we need to find a cure.

Thanks for your consideration.  cooldude
