I'm putting my trunk back on my I/S ( switching back from tourer back rest, to go on a long trip). My problem is the two front studs that hold the trunk rails to the fender rails are longer than the rear and the acorn nuts bottom out before they tighten up, and I don't remember when I took it apart their being anything their to take up the space. Also for you that have done this do you leave the Tourer tail light on with the trunk tail lights, or go back to the I/S blanking plate.
   Thanks

the front ones should have the original seat strap thingies. its what the seat strap was hooked onto.
as far as the light, if its difficult leave it on, sounds like you may switch back and forth.

Your absolutely right, I have the spacers, but I didn't know why they would be their. As for the light I will leave it on, I may or may not hook it up to go on with the trunk light, although the more light the better.
Thanks again, the spacers had me baffled.

If you do not have the C.B. radio under the trunk, you should have room for your taillight. As for the wiring, only you can answer weather you wired so you can run both the trunk and tourer taillights at once.

I'm hoping to eventually have the trunk, tail, LED signal mod and lisence plate all light up with the brakes. Half of them 'Back off' modulated. After dark I wanna be seen from Orbit!
