Why would anyone shave a cow like that?

Heading out in about an hour to catch the last bird to Bawanaland.  Only had a day room and a couple of hours to kill.  I think I am going to spend a big chunk of my full day here in the British Musuem.  I have been there 3 times (including today) but usually kind of rush through, so next time I am going to spend more time there.

Got a tube pass and headed over to Central London with a stop at St Pauls.

From Wikipedia:

"St Paul's Cathedral is an Anglican  cathedral  on Ludgate Hill, the highest point in the City of London, England, and is the seat of the Bishop of London. The present building dates from the 17th century and was designed by Sir Christopher Wren. It is generally reckoned to be London's fifth St Paul's Cathedral, all having been built on the same site since AD 604. The cathedral is one of London's most famous and most recognisable sights. At 365 feet (111m) high, it was the tallest building in London from 1710 to 1962, and its dome is also among the highest in the world.

Important services held at St. Paul's include the funerals of Lord Nelson, the Duke of Wellington and Sir Winston Churchill; Jubilee celebrations for Queen Victoria; peace services marking the end of the First and Second World Wars; the launch of the Festival of Britain and the thanksgiving services for both the Golden Jubilee and 80th Birthday of Her Majesty the Queen. The Royal Family holds most of its important marriages, christenings and funerals at Westminster Abbey, but St Paul's was used for the marriage of Charles, Prince of Wales and Lady Diana Spencer. The religious service for Queen Victoria's Diamond Jubilee was also celebrated there. St Paul's Cathedral is still a busy working church, with hourly prayer and daily services."

There are signs everywhere saying no pictures to be taken inside, but you know how I am about rules.

Wasn't suppose to take pictures where Ann Bowlyne and Jane Grey were buried either...but I did.

Anyway, I noticed in the tube thingie that the Rosetta Stone was at the British Musuem.  Figured I would go check it out.  I must have missed it or there were too many people viewing it or something.  Stopped in Covent Garden at the Nags Head for some fish and chips.  5 weeks ago, they were awesome - this time they stunk!

Got back on the tube to Tottenham Court Road and walked over to the British Musuem.

Sure enough, I found the Rosetta Stone that has been on exhibit there since 1802.  I sure missed it my other two trips through there.

So, a quick walk around that area (I was running out of time) to check out some stuff like the bust of Ramesses II and I had to jump the tube back to the hotel.

Fixin' to jump in the shower and head to the airport.  I'll spend more time there next time.

Safe winds ya'll and have a HOOT at Inzane - wish I was there. tickedoff
