Monday, July 19 2010 3:20am... Home! It all seems so unreal to me now sitting at my computer. InZane was one heck of an experience. Laughed, cried, inspired and proud of my VRCC extended family. Raised $7000 for Camp Quality, learn more about Camp Quality click here http://www.campqualitymi.org/Home/tabid/334/Default.aspx. To all that made this event possible I thank you. Let's do this again real soon. Viva VRCC. Will be posting photos and videos as soon as possible So let me know how it all went for you.

That was the best INZANE that I've ever been to and I couldn't even ride my bike!
Lets do it again.

Oz, I don't know how InZane X could've been any better for Diane and me. You, Scott, Lil' Bit, Connie, Lori, Carl, the Michigan Chapters' folks, all of the volunteers, and many more whose names I don't know, but who, obviously, put in countless hours of work in front of, and behind, the scenes did a fantastic job! Whoever ordered the weather for the four days should be commended. The hotel, community of Bellaire and surrounding area were fantastic. If I have one complaint, it's only because I couldn't be in two places at one time. So many times I wanted to attend a tech session, for example, but wanted to participate in a ride that occurred at the same time. Tough choices. And, BTW, eff cancer! - I'm proud to have been a very small part of a fantastic bunch of people that comprise a motorcycle club that raised $7,001 (and 20 Canadian!) for a cause as worthy as Camp Quality. LET'S DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN IN 2011!

Thanks Oz...it was great talking with you again ... our Michigan folks would love to improve upon what we did this year ...I know there are alot of things that go into deciding where to hold the next InZane but I think if we get another chance at it we can do a better job...(how about a beach party with Bikes...I don't think that's ever been done)(picture that without everyone crashing)...we loved being the host State and we will promise an all out effort again for next year if we are picked....

I had a great time in the one short day I got to spend there!
I'll gladly ride the Lake Superior Loop into Michigan anytime! Well, maybe not from December-March, but the rest of the year I'm game!

We had a ball, 'playing' host to all the VRCC - what a club !!!
Yes, the weather WAS terrific - couldn't have planned it better. Yes - Shanty Creek WAS a phenomenal 'ground zero', and the folks there couldn't have been better or more accomodating to us. Yes - many gorgeous rides, lots of trees, water, rolling hills - just beautiful. Yes - lots of activities, of all sorts. Yes - the Villiage of Bellaire treated us like royalty. Yes - we had a great & worthy cause in Camp Quality, and so proud of all our brothers & sisters in the VRCC who helped make that $7,000 a reality.
BUT - I've said this many times before - goes right back to all the fine folks within the club. Because of this club, and all our 'riding buddies', we have friends in dozens of states and Canada. That is so cool to arrive, and start seeing friends that maybe you haven't had the chance to see in awhile, and then to go out and create NEW FRIENDS again !!! Spending time together, eating a meal somewhere, sharing a drink or two, or just floating in the pool - now THIS is what a riding club is all about.
If you couldn't be there, hey - that happens - work, vacations, other commitments - sometimes get it the way. But if you just 'didn't come', you really don't know what you're missing. Start getting to your own local events, enjoy those. Then start coming to some bigger area-wide events ... enjoy the people there. You'll be surprised at the quality of the folks involved.
If it comes back to Michigan - we will do all we can to make it even better. If it goes elsewhere for a year or 2, that is just fine as well - then we can ride to THAT event. But we WILL BE THERE !!!!!

It sucked, My bike broke! Just kidding, I even enjoyed the blast across Wisconsin after the 3 hour delay in La Crosse while the wheel bearing was replaced. Caught up with Stude 31 and the bunch who rode from Kansas at 10:30 PM on the same day. In a foot note, thanx to 2 brother's Honda in La Crosse for dropping everything and gettin me back on the road. The mech even did it right! Hoser

From my earlier post..... A very special and heartfelt THANK-YOU to the VRCC Staff, volunteers, go-getters, contractors, sub-contractors, sub-sub contractors, helpers and all those unnamed/unknown behind the scenes folks who worked so diligently on the club's behalf putting on one heck of an INZANE this year. I know 99.9% of us don't have a CLUE as to what is involved year after year to put one of these events together. What I DO know is this was an amazingly successful Inzane and these unsung and humble folks went above and beyond sacrificing their time, talent and energy for the benefit of the rest of us. We basically show up, have a great time reaping the toils of their long hard work not realizing what goes into this. A GOOD job WELL done !! You folks ROCK !!

Pam and I had a great time seeing old friends and making new ones for a lifetime. Thanks to everyone: the national staff, MIVRCC and every volunteer that made this year's Inzane the best ever! Lets do it again in Michigan. Thanks to all of you that supported us in our joes juice vendor booth.

Since this was my first INZANE I did not know what to expect. What a time....I just want to thank everyone for making it memorable. We won the balloon toss and my sister ended up with the Neon F6 sign. What a week. Everyone was great, made some new friends and got to see some great scenery. My hats off to the folks at Shanty Creek and Belleaire. I could not have asked for a better time. Thanks to all of you... My Sister and Brother-in-law want me to thank you also, I need to get them started posting on this board.

As Tennessee Ernie Ford used to say, "God willin' and the Creek don't rise" I'll be there if it's held at Bellaire next year.
Everybody on the Staff worked hard and everything worked!
Shanty Creek and Bellaire were great.

My hat is off to the staff for putting together such a great event. Also, to all the people behind the scenes, Thank You so very much. Jeaneane & I had a great time. She won the hula hoop contest, and I didn't cause too much trouble so I guess our week was a success. I thought the folks at Shanty Creek did a great job. I will say, I have a feeling they underestimated the numbers a little, bet that won't happen the next time. I just wish we could attract some more vendors, but that's just me. I want to thank all the riders for coming to Michigan. We've had some hard times lately and it felt great to see you all enjoying our beautiful state. If Michigan is picked again for a future Inzane I am confident we can make it even greater.

It takes me forever to figure out this board, I'm old don't laugh. But once I found this post it made my day. Yes The Village of Bellaire was awesome to us and except for under estimating how many people we would have there (the VRCC staff told them, think they didn't believe us) Shanty Creek was great. So many people have told me what a great time they had this year it's almost overwhelming! I would also like to thank everyone that worked to make InZane X great but it is a big list and fear I would leave someone out, a bad thing. I threw a few videos on http://valkyrieriders.com/vrcctv/ if you are interested. One more thing and I have to say it again: Michigan Rocks!
