Dan you just had to show that rear end tech session didn't you.  ha ha gotta laugh, Four of us were going to ride togather (1 harley),we made the connection and not to far in the UP during the rain Cutter & me got split up with the other two guys & lost them.  Cutter made a call & found the Harley sucked up to much water into her lungs and the boys were makin one of them red green mods which I hope worked for them. Cutter started spitten bullets at me (afterfiring), and we slowed a bit and then I thought I got a flat. Cutters problem went away & I didn't have a flat but at low speed I could feel a little squiggle and slight noise. We soon got gas & We both took a turn on my bike & "O Ya" We heard the growling and I hoped we could make Marinette but I was forced to stop just north of Escanaba and the rain stopped. Cutter stayed till I had a concrete plan no matter how well I assured him we'd be fine. Got a 162m. AAA $$$ tow to Oshkosh Wi. done some ck's and tore out the rear end before hitting the sack. More ck'ing in the morning shows just the bearings bad, right one little play & the left one was really shot. 200m. home we ck'd for parts along the way at a couple good locations and also rice lake and home. The Local dealer will have my parts wed. & I may as well include a new tire so I dont have to tear the rear end apart again in a couple of months. I'll work on it so sat. I can give our daughter her car back and have my bike runnin again.

I should also mention that morning we had done a lot of twisties along The Mich shore pretty heavily loaded.  Cutter made it to his folks home in Eau Claire Wi. about 11-11:30.

Yucks...sorry you had the problem...if only it had been a couple days earlier...there were probably about 400 spare bearings at the event...
