The great Senator from Texas and RNC Chairman Pete Sessions-Yeah, that same one that achieved the worst top 20 by Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington.  The same one that conspires with the likes of Randy "the jailbird" Cunningham, Tom "you're fired" DeLay, Jack "the jailbird" Abramoff, Banker Allen "the jailbird" Stanford (Sessions e-mailed him to say he loved him) that ponzi-schemed $7B-Got money from all of them.  This is the same guy who apparently mentored under the Duke stearing defense contracts for money.

The Honorable Pete Sessions stated that the GOP should look to the Taliban Insurgency for Guidance.
Couldn't formulate an idea what the GOP will specifically do when/if they regain power.

Ole Pete said the GOP's strategy is to:  read the bills, live within our means, balance the budget, and let capitalism do it's thing.  Just a Bush clown, uh, I mean clone.  Hmm..RNC Chairman?

nothing personal, but I don't trust anyone anymore.  I'm thinking of having that tattooed on my chest, I don't believe in qoutes, reports, or other forms of what happened. if pete sessions said it it shouldn't be too hard to come up with the sound bite via youtube. I'll go look.

maybe not the sound bite your looking for but if not I didn't find it. didnt hear anyone mention the taliban. he sounds like a squishy republican, afraid to take a stand on anything. he should be campaigning to repeal health care and every other piece of legislation that has been passed by this administration.

The answer is ...we need new parties. I'd vote for Ralph Nader to get these Idiots out of the white house but we need House and Senate REFORM TOO! ! !  Where are all the Ross Perot's?

Actually, that is the clip that covers his version of what the GOP economic strategy would be.
The Taliban stuff came from several websites I came across while looking up info on Pete Sessions.
In his defense, as all republican senators and congressman, they just mirror one another so as not to think and have their own opinion or represent their constituency.

websites? opinion pieces or what? there are many, many people out there willing to twist, subvert, lie misqoute and take out of context what people on the right say. however after listening to pete sessions I think he needs to return to civilian life. we need leaders willing  to take a stand, even an upopular one. I noticed social security was mentioned, thats the third rail you touch it you die (politically) reforming these programs are always going to be unpopular. social security is about 20% of federal spending.

How about an out of context mischaracterization?

I read the quote from several news sources.  He suggested the Republicans start using a tactic of understanding and disrupting the Democrat’s process like an insurgency.  Since an insurgency is a rebellion against the current leadership, he unfortunately mentions how the Taliban was good at it.  He even went out of his way to say the Republicans are not like the Taliban.

So we need  better options than just the Red and Blue teams that have each already done enough damage. Neither side listens to what the people want very well, the only option is voting them out and voting the same retards that mucked it up last time into power...I AM SICK AND FREAKIN TIRED OF VOTING FOR THE LESSER OF 2 EVILS!    How do we stop that cycle? ......Any one have a solution?

A 3rd choice that does not just take votes away from the lesser evil and tip the scales toward the most evil candidate? How do we get there?

So true....  they all drink from the same bowl and talk the same %$^& (just a little different flavor).  The problem is having an independent or alternate party that can obtain an equal amount of financial backing without the bribery or criminal manipulation that comes with it.   It's sad that an honest man can't make it thru the process and if by chance one does make it.... he isn't honest for long.

If voting really changed anything, they'd ban it anyway...

If PRO is the opposite of CON (Pro's and Con's)... What's the opposite of PROgress?

Ya'll know where the word "politics" comes from?

The first part is from the Greek root word "polyanamonous", meaning many or multiple...
...the second part is from "tics", which are small, blood sucking insects...

Whenever you vote for the lesser of two evils, you are complicit in endorsing their ideals and agenda.  Even though you HATE the Liberals... voting Republican isn't a good option.

We have to send a message to these people.

1. FairTax.  If you don't KNOW it, read about it.  www.fairtax.org.
2. Libertarian.  We're not Anarchists, pot heads, or anything else that the R's and D's portray us as.  We want smaller government, more individual freedom, and more personal responsibility.  We've got some kooks in the ranks, but so do the R's and D's.  And I don't want to hear "I like the Libs except for their position on..."  You don't agree with 100% of the platform of R's or D's either.  Learn about our ideals.  We don't all agree.  I surely don't, and I am a county co-Chairman.

Their is a solution out there.  It's within our power.  But it WILL take a leap of faith, and some risk.  It'll be painful as well.  But everything good is NOT easy to acquire.

I try to NOT vote for EITHER major party exclusively.  I think they are all (for the most part) crooks and fleecing us.  Taxing the crap out of us.

They won't consider the FairTax, because it'll expose them for the corrupt A-Holes they are.

They talk a good game... then do whatever they want.  They spend billions on entitlements so they can get reelected.  It's BUYING votes.  You take from the producers, and give to the non-producers, and there are more slackers than doers, you get votes.  So they keep doing it.  sure there's a pendulum of WHO's screwing us, but they are just taking turns!  It's like a sick porno.  D's and R's high fiving each other as they swap ends on the porno whore thats the American Taxpayer.  Remember 40% of people pay NO taxes at all.  Those are BOUGHT votes.

We all need to wake up, and FIRE the people who are supposed to be representing us.  I don't mean fire the D's and elect R's.  That's just asking for another swap around.  Vote for fundamental CHANGE.

If you're HAPPY with our elected officials... keep voting like you have been voting.  If you're NOT, then do something DIFFERENT!

For God's sake people.  The DEFINITION of insanity is repeating the same behavior and expecting different results!  We have been doing the same crap over and over since Kennedy, and probably before that.

You have no credibility. You quote some DC "watchdog" group as if it were legitimate when it's just another bunch  left-wing litigators.
Though officially listed as non-partisan CREW has been described as being liberal (according to Wikipedia).
When someone posts a bunch of epithets ("jailbird", etc.)  I just assume I'm reading another Democrat with nothing to say and so    engages in juvenile name-calling.

They are in jail for screwing over taxpayers and breaking laws for their own personal gain.  Now if you want to support that behavior that would be your business but I call it the way I see it and "JAILBIRDS" fits and I'm keeping it.  Thou detests too much. Wink

I CAN NOT vote along party lines! Been registered Libertarian for 8 or 10 yrs now and cant get any one on the Ballot in this "Red" state.
We saw what happens when a 3rd party with out all the $$$ gets involved when Perot ran and we ended up with CLinton. tickedoff

I never  in my lifetime have voted for someone. I vote AGAINST some one. I feel it is my duty to cancel out my grand mothers vote (she votes for the most handsome candidate now that Grand dad is not here to fill out her ballot for her,Democrat/Democrat/Democrat!)

We can not afford for the clear thinking, intelligent voters to be divided. There just are not enough of them in this country! Elections are not between the R's and the D's or the conservatives VS the Liberals......Elections are about who sold the most wool to the IGNORANT sheep ! The IGNORANT vote and they turned out in RECORD numbers in '08!

what do you think about finding the most conservative, small government, strong military, stop the progressive movent guy/gal and vote them in?

I agree there are extremes on both side of the aisle and on the fringes of other groups, but if we can agree with 80-to 85% of the major topics thats good enough for me. the hard part is trying to delve into a candidtes true beliefs. I'm ready to back a candidate that doesnt have an "r' behind the name, but they have to be the most conservative choice.

a word about a 'strong military' we have an awe inspiring military, they put the awe and shock into the shock and awe. but run away defense spending is a strain on our country the same as  run away taxes.  we have a scary military, I've seen the youtube vids. we can tear the enemy up and they have no idea where we are, we are truely invisible warriors. now we have a jet fighter that cruises at the speed of sound, and we are useing them against an enemy that thinks RPGs are high tech.  sound like overkill?

We all talk about big government and the corrupt politicians on both sides, and you're right!  The elected officials do not do what their constituents want. There are three things driving them ;power, sex, and money. You pick which one or all.

Unfortunately, our cynical attitude rubs off at the local level too. IMHO, small government works best.  How do I know? I was a city councilman for 13 years after I retired.  If someone didn't like what I was doing, they would call me and chew me out, AND I would listen and try to see their side.

However, I was also called many names that I didn't deserve. People with no idea of how government is supposed to work would raise hell about something that they knew nothing about. They were in the minority and I gladly listened to the informed citizen and did my best to serve them.

When I left the job, I was rich, yeah rich in hard earned wisdom I gained by trying to do the best for my constituents.  Small town politics generally works like it's supposed to.  I can't say the same for higher levels of government.  By the way, the most that I spent in campaign funds was $50..00 for pens that I bought with my own money. We’ve had supersonic aircraft since Chuck Yeager’s historic 1947 flight in the X-1.  Production of supersonic fighters has been ongoing since the early 1950’s, so it certainly isn’t something new.

I doubt our enemies consider the Soviet made RPGs high-tech.  I’m sure they view them as cheap, plentiful, and moderately effective.

I agree that our military, which was designed to fight a high-tech war with the now defunct Soviet Union, is somewhat ill-equipped to fight a guerrilla war.  That’s where adaptation and training become useful.
