Hi Guys, I know it is the middle of summer but I got to plan ahead and am getting the itch to buy something soon.
Can anyone recommend an aftermarket grip heater kit that works well? I may include a new set of grips too, instead of re-installing the originals.
Last fall I remember wishing I had a set of these on some cold rides.
Thankyou for any advice, Eric

I installed Dual-Star brand heaters under my original grips $34. Have had zero problems, only two heat settings, but it was the best upgrade I made to the bike (Minnesota.)  There are other brands out there with a similar setup, and also some much more expensive ones that are intgrated with the grips.

Can you tell me how you mounted the switch, and were the instructions good?

I put Oxford Custom heated grips on my IS, hooked them up to a Heatroller (stock switch was crap)  A Heatroller also works with the Dual-Star types, just hook up Hi and Low to the controller, and get infinitely adjustable heat.
My wife just got a set of Drag Specialties heated grips, they have the switch incorporated in the left grip near the base, very handy.  They have them available for 1" bars.  The Dual-Star types won't get very hot if used with a grip like the Kury ISO grip, too much air inside the grip.  I love my Oxfords- not very pretty, but the heat is excellent.
