I think the easiest way is to just make a new one.

Since I am by nature very lazy...I simply do the following:

(1) Bookmark my existing map...which currently is the following:

http://www.epgsoft.com/servlet/epgSoft.VisitedStatesMap.VisitedStatesMapPageServlet?states=AL&states=OK&states=CO&states=AR&states=CT&states=FL&states=IL&states=IA&states=KS&states=KY&states=MD&states=MA&states=MO&states=NE&states=NH&states=NY&states=PA&states=TN&states=UT&states=VT&states=VA&states=WV&states=WY&states=MS&states=LA&states=TX&states=WI&states=MI&states=IN&height=250&format=jpg&Submit=Create+Map&country=US

(2) When I want to add another state, I simply go to my bookmarks, find my map and "right click" on it and select "properties".

(3) Your will notice that in the URL there are a series of "&states=" followed by a state abbreviation.  To add Hawaii, simply add "states=HI&" after "VisitedStatesMapPageServlet?" in the URL and then click  the "Save" button.

Which will now give you:

http://www.epgsoft.com/servlet/epgSoft.VisitedStatesMap.VisitedStatesMapPageServlet?states=HI&states=AL&states=OK&states=CO&states=AR&states=CT&states=FL&states=IL&states=IA&states=KS&states=KY&states=MD&states=MA&states=MO&states=NE&states=NH&states=NY&states=PA&states=TN&states=UT&states=VT&states=VA&states=WV&states=WY&states=MS&states=LA&states=TX&states=WI&states=MI&states=IN&height=250&format=jpg&Submit=Create+Map&country=US

If you click on the URL you will now see that Hawaii is now visited!

Robin, I only have a couple of minutes before I have to jump on a conference call.

I am unsure of your question...however I think you are asking how you can put your signature in your profile after adding the "States visted" map, since you are limited to a certain number of characters.  If I where you I would generate my map, then save the image and store it where it can be referenced via a URL.  If the URL to your image is too long, there is a hand site call tinyurl.com which will allow you to save your long URL on their server and reference it using (as the name suggests) a tiny URL.  Hopefully this will leave you with enough space to add your signature in your profile.

Hope this helps.

Hey, I made a link of my map using Tinyurl and it gave me this link: http://tinyurl.com/3ab7xvk
Now when I enter that link in between the [img] tags, it doesn't load the image.
What am I doing wrong?

Robin,
First you have right click on the map, and "save as."  After that you need to store it online somewhere... PhotoStash, etc.
Then go to profile, then click on forum profile information (on the right); scroll down to signature... in that box type [ img ] url for your map [ /img ].  Make sure there are no spaces; spaces included here are only so you can see what to type.
