Hi everybody I'm Edward and I just got my 1st Valkyrie...wow am I in love...but it could use a couple of things...anybody know of a good mechanic in Albuquerque, New Mexico?? Also I found a place that chrome the wheels for $500...anybody know anybody better or what I need to check for?? 505-850-9900 or edwardtheblessed@yahoo.com...Valk's Rule!!!!!!!!! Welcome Edward.  A lot of us are still jazzed as you and we've had ours for years.  Some of us, not me  Cry, have more than one.  Can't help you with the mechanic but make sure the chromer you found knows how to chrome aluminum or it will peel.  If you haven't yet, introduce yourself in the Sandbox (General Board) and post a pic of your Dragon.

Not only peel, but take out bearings.  Seems a number of chromers get chrome in the bearing pockets.  I know of at least two bikes that cannot keep bearings in a chromed wheel.

So, buyer beware.

What do you need done to the bike? Anyway we are riding to the Rough Riders Rally in Las Vegas NM on Sunday 7/25, meeting in Bernalillo at the Denny's around 8:00am for breakfast, KSU at 9:00 headed to the rally.

Ed, check with JP  (Hardsix) in Lake Charles La. he did have the best deal on quality chrome wheels done right. New bearings and seals ready to roll. cooldude

Rather than chroming, consider having them professionaly polished. About half the cost and almost as impressive. Also no chrome in the bearing races to worry about.
