Welcome Edward.  A lot of us are still jazzed as you and we've had ours for years.  Some of us, not me  :'(, have more than one.  Can't help you with the mechanic but make sure the chromer you found knows how to chrome aluminum or it will peel.  If you haven't yet, introduce yourself in the Sandbox (General Board) and post a pic of your Dragon.

People are more passionately opposed to wearing fur than leather because it's safer to harass rich women than bikers.

Not only peel, but take out bearings.  Seems a number of chromers get chrome in the bearing pockets.  I know of at least two bikes that cannot keep bearings in a chromed wheel.

So, buyer beware.

Edward,
What do you need done to the bike? Anyway we are riding to the Rough Riders Rally in Las Vegas NM on Sunday 7/25, meeting in Bernalillo at the Denny's around 8:00am for breakfast, KSU at 9:00 headed to the rally.

Ed, check with JP  (Hardsix) in Lake Charles La. he did have the best deal on quality chrome wheels done right. New bearings and seals ready to roll. :cooldude:

Rather than chroming, consider having them professionaly polished. About half the cost and almost as impressive. Also no chrome in the bearing races to worry about.
