During a ride today with my youngest it seemed turning left was a little, for lack of a better word, squirrely, all the right turns seemed tight, any suggestions. She is a 2000 standard with about 32k miles.

Left rear bearing going bad would be my bet ...I own three Valkyries and all of them has had a left bearing go bad

I would first think it is tire related.
Especially if you are riding on worn, cupped tires.
I can't discern what exactly is the problem.
Maybe if you ride it a little more, then you may be able to describe better, what is happening!

While i was driving i heard nothing, and was doing fairly slow speeds, it felt like the front wheel was shifting or sliding, the tires pretty new, probably less than 5 k miles and tires look good

Maybe it was!!! Could be the surface you were riding on. Loose gravel, rocks, sand you know. Check you tire pressure. Front and rear! ***

It was an asphalt road, no rocks, gravel or sand, only left turns were this way, and pressures were 36 and 40 I have ridden these roads numerous times and never had this feeling

I tend to side with Rick-D here. My last tire caused identical symptoms to what you are describing, but it's left profile was noticeably different on the left side as compared to the right half profile when looking closely. (flatter from center to outside edge ) Started at about 6k miles into the tire. ( remember we wear out the left side quicker to begin with, but in my case it looked like I was doubling the normal wear ) I changed it shortly afterward.
My fix was two-fold 1) new front tire 2) Re-set the front axle ( I redid my front fork seals which included remounting and resetting the axle ) This has corrected the improper wear that was appearing so early on the previous tire.
-- A second thought -- Jack the front off the ground and check the steering. The manual will tell you what force is needed to turn the handlebars. Check for ANY strange feeling of binding, grinding, or indent.

You mentioned 36-40, with m/c tires I always ran at least 40,42...front,rear. Now with a car tire in back, I run 42 front and 36 rear. It'a also possible the shock bushings are going, more on the left one than the right side. The mileage is about right for that.

You may be having issues with the infamous Louisiana Tar Snake. I know my Valk Tourer has issues with these tar snakes the DOT uses to seal an asphalt roadway. In the summer time like right now @ 100 degrees, the road surface probably reaches about 150. When these snakes get hot enough to melt they will cause your front tire to slip when you cross one in a turn. Just my 2 cents. Check it out before wrenching.
