At a Patriot Guard ride today for an "unattended" vet (no family, no friends-nobody)(and the 9th or 10th this year) there was an oldtimer who is working on this issue in Fl to get cremations currently on shelves in various cities to be released to an organization to allow proper burial.
He got some attention and, I hope, support.
Seems our state law requires release to a mortuary or some other facillity. When that doesn't happen the urns just sit.
Every vet deserves better and to be remembered and sent off with respect.
This is worthwhile.

Thanks for posting this.  I have said it many times, we can never thank our veterans enough.  We also owe them the proper respect during burial.

I will pass this along to my Rolling Thunder chapter and other biker friends.

To ALL the Michigan Riders; Every year, for the past 11 years, there has been an incredible gathering of concerned citizens honoring and rememering military POW/MIA personnel from all U.S. Wars, and the families who await return of their loved one's. Debby and I have been blessed to be able to attend all by 2 of these rides. The first couple years there were thousands of bikes, but each passing year the numbers have been dwindling. The info and link is below. Please mark your calender.
