I called the hotel directly (970 668 5000) and was told I'd have to call a Josh Kennedy in the morning to get the discounted rate. I did make reservations though and will give them a call tomorrow.

No, you should not have missed the discounted rate.  I will call in the morning and try to sort out what's going on.
Josh supposedly had it set up at the 800 number... that's what he told me anyway.

I called the 800 number, though I'm guessing from the accent, I wasn't speaking with someone in Friscoe,CO. but I could be mistaken.    Roll Eyes   I was told that all the VRCC rate rooms were gone, but she had one for $108

This morning, through the 800 number, I got the $87 rate.  That was about 10 a.m.
The list of folks attending isn't long enough to run out of rooms yet, surely.  Gotta be human error somewhere.

I booked our room through the 800 number yesterday afternoon and didn't have any trouble getting the VRCC rate.  The 800 operator connected me with the CO location...

I just spoke to the mgr that is on site in Frisco.  She said if you booked at the higher rate, they will get it corrected tomorrow.
She's not able to change the 800 number inputs, so if you call that number tonight, they will still give you the incorrect rate.  She said to go ahead and book your room and they will honor the discounted rate.

Hi Connie,

We won't be going this year but I noticed the registration post is already off the first page. Just a thought but wouldn't it be a good idea to pin that thread onto the top of page one? uglystupid2 coolsmiley Grin

I just got our $87.00 room! If they run out of rooms my cousin (who lives there and is a property manager) has several condos across the street from the Holiday Inn. Let me know if you'd like the info.

F6gal,  Do I need to call Josh to get the rate lowered to $87, or will the hotel do it without me calling?    ???
