I'm sure those of you in the Philly area noticed that storm we had yesterday afternoon.   Shocked

I got to experience my first good thunderstorm ride on the Valk during that storm, and I must say, it was a fun time.   cooldude  I was already soaking wet from hanging out in the park during the start of the storm, and of course I didn't bring my raingear with me (I didn't think the rain was going to get that bad).  But man, The Valk handled the roads like a champ.  I just had new Metzelers installed last week, which I'm sure helped, but I was weaving around fallen branches and other debris with no worries at all.  My only regret was that I wore my sneakers to the park rather than my riding boots.  Sneakers and wet roads don't go very well together.   Roll Eyes

So yeah, just wanted to sing some praises.  I'm very proud of my bike and how she handled the fury of mother nature.   Cool

As a displaced Pittsburgher, I can say I would much rather get caught in a storm in Pa than in MI.  But as my fellow Rogue Riders can attest, our Valkyries appear to run MUCH better in the rain, faster, too.  WE normally run 5-10 over the speed limit on a clear day, but for some reason our fearless leader seems to approach triple digits when it rains.  I don't know why, but it happens like clockwork.
