~ Dragons on the Lake

. . ...up in the wilds of the mysterious  Upper Peninsula of Northern Michigan.
...as a mist slowly burns off the shores of Lake Michigan ...a quiet rumble can barely be detected far off in the distance...at first..mere glimpses...and then they begin
to slowly come into sight...one...two...three....then more...
..their chrome shimmers in the early morning sun light, as
these ...Sleek Dragons...slowly rumble into sight...its a new
dawn...to a new day.....the day of....Dragons on the Lake..

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yep...its now official my friends...a brand new ride up in the
Hinter Lands of Northern Michigan....every year there is a Ride sponsored by the... GWRRA - Michigan Chapter G Midnight Riders ....on Friday August 20th - 22nd..." The Midnight Ride " Thousands of bikes converge on the tiny town of ..St Ignace
in the Upper Peninsula..
...last year Chili and I and our friends Tony Z and his wife Lara...decided to get a cabin right out side of town...right on the shores of Lake Michigan...we hung out there for the weekend just BBQing and sitting round the fire pit at night...telling lies....and during the day we would ride into town and explore with all the other countless bikers that are drawn here every summer to join in with their fellow brothers and sisters and enjoy the weekend....
....This year folks started comming up to us and saying how they had heard about our weekend on the lake and if we were gonna do it again this year...they would be interested in joining us if we didnt mind....well...ofcourse they were welcome....so Chili and I took a ride up and reserved some cabins for those that were interested...and in the process....a brand new ride was born...everything is in place now...and folks have told me that they are excited about the weekend...as are Chili and myself..
...so...Chili and I decided that this new ride needed a name... so we gave it one...Dragons on the Lake...it is a new ride that we are going to organize for our friends ..and have every year from now on...Dragons on the Lake -The Mid Night Ride Weekend..
....most definitely Gear Jammer....we kind of stumbled on to this place last year on the same Midnite Ride Event...Chili and I needed a new ride to enjoy with friends....so we just organized this one last week....ask anyone who went on our Copper Harbor Rides...its a laid back time with friends just exploring the wind and enjoying each others fellowship...we dont like alot of rules or regimented schedules....just like our BBQ,s we just wanna kick back and enjoy the motorcycle lifestyle....
.. ...this ride is brand new...and we want folks to know that everyone is welcome to come enjoy the weekend with us....especially our Michigan brothers and sisters..  cooldude
You gotta love Michigan and the free spirits that live here!
Damselfly and I are still waiting on my Doctors "OK".  But we still plan on coming up, whether we both ride or I come in the truck and Pam rides.
Either way,...it's going to be a LARGE TIME.
. ....a Large Time...indeed George...Faith and I look forward to firing up the Q....havin a nice lil barbie with our friends right on the beach....then getting the fire pit roaring and sharing some drinks and bodacious lies..  Cool
....hey...heres an Idea..."if" ..the Doc clears ya to throw a leg over....you could trailer your bike to our place and ride up to the cabins from here....that would turn your 4 hour ride into a....1 hour ride....definitely be easier on ya...either way Faith and I look forward to hanging out with you and Pam....gonna be a most excellent weekend ! ..  cooldude
