So he sends me all the valks on craigslist. I agree, a second Valk would be fun, but not for me right now.

This isn't a bad deal though. Dad's got a point. I just don't have any cash.
Thought I'd pass it along in case anyone was interested. I'm near enough to that area if someone wants me to swing by and take a first look at it for them.

1998 Honda Valkyrie 16K miles excellent condition - $6800 (Granite Falls NC)

Engine Type: Liquid cooled horizontally opposed 6 cylinder
Displacement: 1520 cc
Front tire: 150/80R-17
Rear tire: 180/70R-16
This is my dad's bike and he has lost interest. It's a beautiful fast cruiser/touring bike.
It has low miles for a 11 year old bike, and has been babied by a senior rider and meticulous owner!
It won't beat you up like a air cooled twin and is faster and more reliable (it has a GoldWing engine...)
Joyriders need not apply. Serious buyers need a helmet, valid NC motorcycle license, and of course, CASH

Dang that is a good deal... and what a GREAT ride that would be bringin' it home to Cali...

Too bad the wife is afraid of the large bike... she wants a Rebel.  Oh well!

My wife didn't think she wanted a something as large as a valk until she went to Inzane the first year. She realized that anybody could ride a Valk if they wanted to (Thanks F6gal). Now she wants one.
