I have used Bridgestones a lot , and I like them.  Since I am not a racer, I can't comment on thier handling, but they do fine for my type riding.  They are not noisy, do not cup, at least for me, and last longer than the others I have tried.  I have tried them all, by the way.  typically 12k on rear, 20k on front,  more or less.  The biggest attraction for me is cost.  They are considerably cheaper than the others.  I have recently been running a D404 Dunlop bias front with a g850 BS radial on the rear.  Very happy with them at 8K, and the dunnie is really cheap!  It has the same pattern on front as most Harley cruisers and is basically the same tire.  Harley sizes are imprinted with the HD logo and cost twice as much as the d404.  They are the d402. Hope this helps. Hoser  Smiley

My experience was just the opposite of Hosers.

On my I/S they were loud when leaned over, had virtually no grip and lasted only about 8.5 K miles.
Could not wait to replace them with Avons,.....but I have gone to the DS on the rear.

My Rat Rod Valk has Metzlers and they are very capable of lasting at least 14 K miles.

I'd only use Bridgestones as rim protectors.

I have a set of 702's on my STD. and have 800 miles on them now, they handle great and really ride nice compared to the Metzlers I took off. These tires are very quiet up to 48 miles and hour at which point they will annoy the crap out of you until you get above 55 and then all is quiet again. I think it is because of the extra deep tread design. This is just my experience, yours may vary.

As I said, I am not a racer, I cannot dispute your handling problems,  They have worked well for me.  Hoser

I find they are very good tires. They have lasted longer than the Avon and the Dunlop E3. Haven't run the Metzlers.

I run the Bridgestone BT020R 200/60VR16 "BattleAx" on the rear - and have found it to be a sticky tire even in the rain.  I also has a wider footprint, which looks great under the Valk.  I do, however, expect to get only about 8-10,000 miles from it - which isn't a problem for me (I don't ride nearly as often as I would like).  Of course, if you put 15,000+ miles on your bike annually, the cost and hassle of more frequent replacement may be a deterrent.  Otherwise, it's a great tire.  (BTW, I run an Avon Venon R on the front).  Terry

I like them much better than the Metzlers or the Dunlops. I run a CT on the rear now but get around 20k on the front. I read where some people get noise with them but I don't seem to, I got lots of noise from the Metzlers, could not wait to get them off.

I have run the BattleAx BT020 200/60 for several years now.  I get about 10k mi out of a rear, no matter which brand (E3, Cobra, Venom, Bridgestone).  I ride fairly hard, but definately not one of the "Elite" top 1%.  I used to ride 20k mi/yr, but now I'm down to only about 10k/yr.  Just put an Extera on the front this spring and a new BattleAx on the back.  About 3k mi. so far and have had no issues with it at all.  Smooth, quiet and holds tight while the sparks are flying.  Maybe not the absolute best tire money can buy, but a great tire for the $$$ in my opinion.  I think I'll buy another Extera and I will definately be buying more BattleAx's
