Hey everyone, Does anyone know who does really good Chrome plating for exchange parts? I want to have the stock Cam covers chromed on my bike. I do not want the ones that have grooves in them or something like that. I just want the plain smoothe covers chromed. If you know some one who does SHOW CHROME work please let me know. You can get just plain chromes form several suppliers, I have them on my bike. I think I got mine from JC Whitney. They were in the section for 1500 gold wing if I remeber right.

Yep... I just placed an order for them. ONLY problem is, is it for a single one OR a set? It did not say. I hope it is a set of two... I only ordered one part number. Thanks for the info.  tommy t IBA1990 www.coloradolongridersmc.com

Hey Jess... Thanks for the info. Glad to hear it. I thought it probably was a pair from the way the part number looked... but not totally sure. Thanks again. I hope everyone has a super week-end. At 3:00 AM tomorrow morning is the start of an Iron Butt ride & I will be on it. Only a thousand miler tho. Ride safe. tommy t IBA 1990  www.coloradolongridersmc.com

I’m not sure who it was, I believe it was a rider from the Chicago area, but he had a chromed wheel that he had some issues with the bearings.  Turns out that the guy that he sent his wheels to, to have chromed exchanged them with some other wheels, and the bearings didn’t seem to fit right.  He said that he had replaced several sets of bearings and that he never had any problems until the had his wheel chromed out.  Don’t really know what ever happened to the rims he had, just know that he got stuck with a broke bike during the VOIA get together in LaCrosse Wi.
