Hello Texans... from Ohio!

I am starting to look at Valk trikes for my wife and found this one in Austin:

http://austin.craigslist.org/mcy/1879049278.html

Looks like a nice low mile for a good price. As I am 1400 miles away, it isn't feasible to run down and take a look at it.

If anyone in the Austin area is willing to take a look at it for me it would be greatly appreciated. I am not expecting a tear-down to look at u-joints, etc (obviously), but any assistance you can give, no matter what your Valk expertise would be greatly appreciated... how she looks, how she runs, etc.

Flights from Cleveland to Austin are dirt-cheap so a one-way and ride back is feasible if this trike fits the bill.

The trike is at a used car dealership, which kinda makes me hesitant, so if anyone knows about this place - good or bad, I would like to hear about that too. That might give me an idea whether I am deailing with your "typical" used-car guys or not.

Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

I would like to publically thank laserpat for contacting me about Austin area Valk owners, but especially f-stop (Charlie) who took time to go and check the Valk for me.

f-stop gave me a detailed description of what he saw... and with his descripton I was able to determine that the bike is not for us.

Our thanks again Charlie... it is people like you who make the VRCC - THE place for Valk owners/riders on the internet... thanks again!

Hey Pete, no problem!  I'm such a Valkyrie geek that going to look over a bike is just plain fun. Smiley
If you're ever in the area give me a shout and I'll buy you a beer at one of our local watering holes. cooldude
I am still curious as to how that fuel system was set up, though. ???
