The accident occurred at the intersection of State Highway 121 (Business) and Bellaire Boulevard, where the SUV motorist had crashed into a motorcycle, killing the motorcycle operator. Following the crash, the SUV driver sped off, as if nothing really happened, according to police spokesman Lt. Michael Lane.

The motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, and a passenger was transported to a local hospital.

Police say that witnesses have informed them that the SUV was illustrated as a late-model, dark gray or black Chevy Tahoe or Suburban, likely to have a massive dent. What was left at the scene was the fog light housing that is placed underneath the front bumper, which was cut off or detached and left the scene of the collision, and one fog light is still included. What police also found was a Chevrolet "bowtie" symbol that was also torn off the grille.

That is really sad.  I hope they catch the driver, or better for him, he comes forward.

Those little SUVs are popular with the narco gangsters, here in Corpus town.  The driver might have been DUI, or in possession.  Killing a biker doesn't seem to be  a serious offense, here in the Republic.
