The August meeting will take place this Thursday, August 12th at 7:00PM in Rockwall at Soulman's Barbeque. Dinner at 7:00 and a short meeting to follow. They do have a meeting room, but let's get a head count so they know what to expect. If you would like to see next month's meeting a little closer to your house think about hosting the meeting. All you have to do is pick a place and call ahead to let them know we're coming. As Doc will tell you, it's been a while since we've been on the east-side. Hope all the eastsiders make it out. Great to see everyone that braved the Rockwall rain storms. I counted 17! at tonight's meeting. Next time we need to get a picture. Thanks to Al Lamb for some do-rags, several cans of pancake spray and congrats to B-N-B Tom for taking home the top prize a mini compressor! |

Surprising number of "cagers" last night. Guess it wasn't a long enough ride for some of em.  But at least there was a good turnout in spite of the heat. Sounds like the Houston/DFW ride is postponed indefinitely. Maybe we should initiate a ride to someplace like Lake Whitney and just invite them? Oh well, good company and good food . . AS USUAL! Hopefully there will be a big turn out by riders from all over making a weekend out of the club ride Oct. 3 DFW Ride for Kids. Come in Saturday and stay at the host hotel and make a big deal out of dinner Saturday evening, and a big deal out of the kids on Sunday morning! The host hotel is the Springhill Suites Grapevine, 2240 W. Grapevine Mills Circle, Grapevine, TX 76051. Call 972-724-5500 by Sept. 20 and ask for the RFK rate of $99/night. We already have riders coming in from Kansas City and Houston. Looks like LemonDrop has joined the VRCC Team since the last time I was there. Great going volks! ~Jeff |
