My 99 IS i bought in may has some play in the front end,  I thought it was the neck bearings but jacked it up and could feel no play at all in the neck bearings, but when I yank on the front fender rail, I feel play in the lower sliders.  My question is, when rebuilding should both bushing in each leg be replaced, I have the split bushings already, should the solid ones also be replaced?

Thanks in advance

while you are in there, have them on hand an ready to replace.
the ease of mind it brings comes cheap for the price of a set of bushings.

I collected up all the parts that the manual said were wear-parts before I took my forks apart.

Some of the bushings (it's been two or three years now) showed obvious wear - I replaced them.
Some showed no wear at all - I left them...
