Shop the internet for tire price , "tire express", southwestmoto, etc and when you find the cheapest price e mail it to HDL "Honda Direct Line" and they will beat by a few dollars!

Will I did my home work and checked around for Avon Cobra Tires. MotoXoutlet had the best price with 160.99 for the front 150/80VR17 and 186.99 for the rear 200/60VR16 plus 25.00 shipping. BUT I called Competition Accessories @ 1-800-543-8208 and they matched the price and gave me free shipping so it was 347.98 to my door. I called Honda Direct Line and they don’t have the 200/60VR16 any more. Just putting out some info out so you know. Hope this helps someone out there. Ride Safe Out There!!!!! Shades

I had checked several and MotoXoutlet had the best price and delivery came within a couple days max. No email ship confirmation, just the goods waiting at my door, a pleasant surprise.
Service = Great
Personally, the using of a competing vendor who normally charges you a higher price unless you call him on it by showing another vendors more agressive regularly low price, really isn't fair to the low priced vendor. But then that's just my 2 cents.

I agree, Gary. I ordered a set of Avon Cobra's from SW Moto Tires on their website for $352.90 and free shipping. I ordered on Monday via the Internet and they were on my doorstep in Wednesday morning. I don't have the time nor desire to call around to pricematch items I want to purchase. If you are a reputable business, and have a good price, you will likely get my business. No offense to HDL or any other business, because I think they are great folks. I'm just not going to spend my time calling/email people to see if I can save $2. I also realize there probably isn't much margin on tires. Some retailers choose to make it up on volume, and some choose to make it one at a time.... -Scott

Normally I would agree with you Gary. MotoXoutlet does have a great price on a Cobra AV72 180/70R16 COBRA REAR for 177.99 while HDL's price is 217.95. BUT there are other cost considerations to consider.... MotoX shipping to my house is 15.00 while HDL/DLP is free. HDL is having a 10% sale now as well, so you save another 20.00 bucks. Check out MotoX prices on batteries and other items and compare them to HDL/DLP and see what you come up with. AND, considering that HDL/DLP does have their Price Guarantee... I think that is a pretty good thing for an active price shopper..... Low Price Guarantee We want your business. We can't check every vendor on the Internet. We know our prices are low but sometimes one slips by us. If our competitors advertised price is lower (incuding shipping costs and all fees) then we will beat it by 5% or $5 (whichever is less). (Excludes any Big Bike Parts/Show Chrome products and any items found on E-bay) The competitors price must be viewable in their online catalog or shopping cart. Guarantee does not apply to special order items or close-out merchandise. You must call us to place your order when taking advantage of this low price guarantee. Granted they are all in business to make a buck and we as consumers have to watch how we spend our bucks as well, now more than usual I guess. It all depends on what you are ordering, how much money you are spending and who you are comfortable with. JMO But MC tire prices are just too darn high all over to begin with.....

I asked about those Shinko's on the old board and a few had recently got em. I would also like to hear some more feedback. They look pretty decent.

Thanks for the help. I am going to order tomorrow from HDL, and use the price match from motoxoutlet. I am using them for one reason, I need some other stuff, and moly for the splines. I wish I could get the 10% off sale too, but they state its for internet sales only, and to do a price match you have to phone it in. Any way here is a photo of my old Venom. Only about 10,000 on it. The previous owner ran the under inflated a bit. That and too many Missouri twisties I guess I need to do more right curves??

Just happened to be shopping for a tire when this thread came up. Running Darkside so I just needed a front. HDL pricematched MotoX. Wouldn't do the coupon and the price match . Price match came up cheaper $165 to the door. Don't forget the Dynabeads. Local accessories place told me the price I got was less than their price. Wanted $190 for the tire and $50 to mount. Just bought a new Cobra front and had it mounted at a local V-twin shop.....$193. He's Honda trained but works on harleys now.
