From what I have heard is 15 dead counting the 4 from Iowa and Nebraska.
Also, said they are estimating 500,000 + riders.
This is the 70th Anniv and they figure by Saturday they will have 700,000.
Been there before and they must have them out on the range in about 20,300 acres.

I just found out that one of my niece's (not Lindsey) husband is there.
He works for Anheuser-Busch as the midwest rep.
I think he covers about six states.
Of couse, he's there on official bussiness

Better to be judged by 12, then carried by 6.

They were talking bigger numbers out there then 500k when we were they. If they make 500k it would be barely. Still alot of open spots down town for parking. Seems like more last year but it was low. We got there Thursday night and it was a ghost town. I only passed 15 bikes going out, which is unusually low. Did see alot more riders riding out but still full trailers at the campgrounds. After going out a day earlier then we use to, it is definitly more fun during the full week.

I don't do crowds, I like to hit those places before or after the circus. Same with Laconia, beautiful place, beautiful riding, much more enjoyable to me with one other riding partner. Get in with the locals.

The radio station broadcasting from down town Sturgis said that this years rally was one of the biggest, if not the biggest ever held.
