Looking for Restaurant, Lodging and Fuel info for the NC section of the BRP.

I'm sure that plenty out there have experiences both good and bad... I would love to hear them all.

It has been a while since I was up there.  But when I used to go, I have stayed at Linville.  There was a restaurant or two there, but accomodations were very limited.    Your best bet, in my opinion is around Boone, you will have to exit of and drive a couple of miles, but it is a small college town, and there are restaurants, places to stay etc.

Others that live near there now might be able to give better information.    BTW, Boone is not a bad place to end or start a day.  It does get warmer down towards the Asheville end of the parkway.

If you have time go thru Linville falls, there is a cave there that is pretty neat.

Also, there used to be a restaurant coming down from Mt.  Mitchell  I believe.  Don't hold me to that, it has been a while, and I can't remember where exactly it was.  It was decent, not outstanding ...  Mt. Mitchell and of Grandfather mountain are worth seeing.

Have fun!!
