And he can't phone home for help either.

He's gonna be happy about the helmet in a few more milliseconds.  Not so happy about no jacket or gloves.

Do you know if he's okay Joe?

Ditto.  Looks like he may be in for a broken left leg when that backrest makes contact.

Can you say "Road Rash"!

One reason I am wearing my armored stuff more and more. It does not look so cool, but neither do scars.

That is a great photo and being a safe guy it reminds me that i need to wear protective gear more often.  Glad to see the full face helmet (that I do not wear Undecided). So hot in the desert now that i just wear jeans and vest with half helmet.

I wonder if he just entered turn with too much speed.  I always like to know if accident is from rider error or lack of anticipation of dangerous condition.

Probably too fast and those Yamaha Cruisers will drag on a Walnut, or a pebble.

I had a 1700 Silverado Yamaha.

Not very forgiving in a turn.

Course he could have been distracted by a female cyclist flashing US 129 Photos.

Naw just lost it is all.

Hope he is OK.

Just about everyday  Shocked  It's been good to me I've rode it since the late 70's before the picture taker's and t-shirts shop's was'nt nothing up there but a old store with dusty merchandise back then and it has'nt took a bite of me yet.....It's damn sure come close a few times over the years  ??? Anytime you bring people from all over the world into a small area like Deal's Gap you will have some crashes and death's . I've seen folks up there on bikes that should have never left the driveway let alone come to The Dragon and " try " to ride it.Hundred's  of yuppie's that bought a $25,000 bike and wearin' $80.00 t-shirts that think they own the place are the one's that piss me off. They'll hit a rare straight and gun it then slam on the brakes at the next curve and barely go the whole time they are thinkin' " Damn I'm cool "  Sad

I've seen alot of people that thought they were cool , but then again Lord I've seen alot of fools.

I broke in a 750 Honda back in 1974 there. It was a 55 mph speed limit and not crowded at all back then.
And to answer if it happens a lot? Yes, it happens a LOT on any road where people aren't quite as good as they think they are. uglystupid2

All my friends that have flip front helmets that they so love to use with the helmet flipped up, please look at what's going to hit first.
