Hi guys,

Any good mechanics in the Southern California area with solid Valkyrie experience?

My 98 Valk is in need of some carb work (stumbles and hesitates when coming off idle and while cruising steadily)

Reply here or call me at     310    942     9258

THANKS!

Paul

Ya, there are some very good guys in SoCal.

Ya need to go to the SoCal board as most of them don't get into this board too seriously.

http://www.valkyrieforum.com/forum/vrcc_socal.cgi

In the meantime, get ya some good Fuel Injection cleaner and dump the whole can into your tank and take about a 190 mile trip.  Well, since it is a 98, 120 ought to do it.

Vary your speed down in the lower speeds.   What you are attempting to do is clean the idle jets.  So if ya go snappin da throttle open and holding it, you are not into the idle or small jets.   Suspect it has set some and no storage additive put in.

I use SeaFoam myself, but others like other brands and names.

In fact do a search on the Tech board here for slow jets, and make sure ya got a big cup of coffee to nurse on while ya is a readin.
