A stupid question...............when installing Tank Bib.....do you have to remove chrome around gas cap? Just installed a new HOPNEL and the opening seems a little small. A pic of one that is installed corectly would be appreciated. Thanks.

You do need to remove the gas cap to install the hopnell. Open the cap and just remove the two screws visable when cap is open. Don't drop them in the tank.

Here's a picture of a Mustang Tank Bib.
You may be able to just loosen the screws and slip the bib underneath the gas cap. I took the opportunity to clean while the cap mechanism was off.

I just put on a Hopnel on my standard last week. You must remove the gas cap assy to get it on.
Pretty easy job, takes about 15 minutes. The picture by Valk Boy Jr is exactly how it will look when
finished.

The previous owner put a Mustang bib (with matching seat covers) on mine. By the time I got it (less than 25k mi.) it had already buffed an outline of itself in the (black) paint.
