Hello, Valkyrie Riders
I've been wrestling with the comfort on long hot rides with my butt in the saddle and all that goes with that so, Spend the money for a aftermarket, or have the stock seat modified? I've choosen
modified. After I signed up to ride Labor Day Weekend on the Smokin Joe Ride to Mississippi it seemed to be the right time to contact someone in this business and make it happen. I picked Spencers Motorcycle Seat Mods (GrreatDayToRide.com), and a sheepskin from Alaska Leather. I shipped out my seat on Monday 8-16-2010, we will see what the total turnaround time will be. So for the next few days(I hope thats all) I'll be seatless, Good time to do a fine cleaning and waxing job. I'll give a report on this modified seat combo after the Mississippi Ride. What Do You Know! cooldude

I have a 2000 Standard and the first thing to go was the stock seat. I debated on whether to have it worked over or just replace it. Read all I could on seats and liked what everyone said about the Ultimate Seat, so I ordered the Ultimate Big Boy and I love it. I then bought the Ultimate passenger seat and she loves that as well. Big improvement over stock. We have ridden on the Ultimates for about 40K miles with several 600 + mile days included. It works for me!

Funny you mention them. I just talked to them about modifying my Mustang seat, but he wouldn't do it because I had made some other modifications trying to make it comfortable. I may still see about getting my stock seat done. If you are at the Natchez Trace ride, maybe I can look you up and see how you like it. The rider that told me about him rides an st1100 and gave his work high praise.
