I had noticed my rear brakes were not real good and noticed the rear pedal had become somewhat sticky,,,,,didn't come back to released position very fast.  Took the pedal off and sure enough the bolt and pivot bushing were pretty rusted up.  Cleaned both and added a little guard dog grease and viola!  much improved rear brake as well as much nicer feel.  The pivot bush in the pedal is quite the mechanism, it is a bushing with rubber grease seals on both sides and the pivot bolt has a radial groove apparently designed to hold a small amount of grease as a reserve...so the moral of this story is.....LUBE YOUR PIVOT!!.... crazy2
