I have had many motorcycles in my forty years of riding, but I think I'd avoid this bike.
Couldn't imagine going to Sturgis or Daytona on this Honda. coolsmiley Grin

Neat bike, but I still want a clutch, no automatics for me, I'm just funny that way...

...same way with my cars, and yeah, it's getting HARD to find new cars in manuals anymore...

Yeah... tell me about it... I had a JEEP salesman run a search for me... 500 MILE RADIUS search... not a single standard.  ALL Automatics.

I ended up buying a Nissan instead.

As for the DN-01, I like the looks (it's neat)... but not the CVT.  I'll make due with an electronically controlled manual, but not a CVT.

Cool Bike that DN-01, it brings some new technology to the cruiser market.

Put a bigger motor in it like a 1836 CC engine and some touring storage and Wind Protection.

It could be a winner.

saw one at a honda dealer in menomonee falls wisconsin on our way back from inzane.  it's a scooter!  well, compared to the valkyrie.  i'm sure my daughters would love it, maybe even the wife.  i'd ride it around town, i'm pretty sure that's their target buyers.

I took one out for a ride when they first came out.

Definately the feel of a scooter.

Nice looks - no real umph and a heck of a price tag in the states.

They would be appealing to those who don't think shifting is for them and are looking for ease  -but not at that price.

Good idea in concept...way too expensive...imho

That class is already taken up by the Silver Wing and the Bergman scooters.

I'd go the opposite way like this.

When this first came out several of the sales people at my local dealership and I tried to figure out who it would appeal to.  We soon found out that scooter riders who wanted to move up to something that the motorcycle community might accept, but had trouble with a clutch, would step up to this machine.  I test rode one when it arrived and noted many of the same issues mentioned in this test ride.  The dash is buried under the windshield and is very difficult to see for anyone over 5'-5".  It is also difficult to see under some lighting conditions.  My local dealer has sold four of these the last time I spoke to him.  One more than the Fury.  All were sold to males.

I would not insult any woman by suggesting she attempt to ride one of these.  Many women would probably move your family jewels to a less appropriate location if you were to make such a suggestion.

If I was looking for something other than a Valk... I like the M109.  And I am not sure where I'd go for a touring bike.

They already did.  It is called a Goldwing.  Too much plastic for my taste.
