Pretty amazing.

I checked the valves for adjustment, and replaced the timing belt's. It's been at least 50K miles since my last valve adjustment, but still... only one valve needed any attention. (#3 exhaust was just a tad tight.) The other's were spot on.

As for the timing belts, they're the original belt's with 113,000+ miles, and they look basically in the same condition as the new one's I replaced them with. (NAPA belts)

It may sound corny, but it's like this bike doesn't age. It looks and rides the same as it did when I bought it in '99.

Another testament as to the quality and durability of the prettiest bike ever made!  cooldude

So somebody try to explain to me why Honda discontinued what was obviously their crowning achievement in 2003. Guess they must have thought they achieved perfection and now it's time to move on to something else.  Cool

I can only think that in their minds (Honda) , right or wrong...if it ain't making enough money, they're not keeping it. I think we can all agree they made a huge mistake.

Follow the money.  If the Valkyrie sales figures remained high they would still be selling them.

I wonder if anyone has tried to 'wedge' an 1800 into a Valk yet . It would be nice if the dragon came back with the new engine and all of the Valk-specific benefits that differentiate it from the Goldwing.  laugh
