Just was wondering.  I know the pinion cup and the driven flange that goes in the rear wheel on the valk and the 1500 wing are the same and have the same Honda part number.  I also know that some Honda parts have different part numbers but are in reality the same.  What about the following rear drive related parts: Ring and Pinion set, Drive Shaft and U-Joint?  Good info to know just in case.

Thanks Mike

The ONLY part of the 1500 wing rearend that's different is the outer half of the housing.
Ring gear and Pinion , all bearings, all seals, shims, bolts, studs, and even the iner half
of the housing are the same.  Pinion cup, drive shaft, u-joint are the same.
Some of the early 1500 wings mite have some other differences, but latter ones are the same.

As Lee said, the outer housing is different. The 4 bolts that mate up to the shaft tube are a different bolt pattern. Three of the bolts line up, but not the 4th bolt.
