I don't know why I waited so long to start riding??????? My first ride (although short, 60 miles round trip) is with my Dad to the Prairie Band Casino Bike Show, 8/21/10. Took a picture of my Dad and Arlen Ness. The Valkyrie is awesome. Wish I would have started riding a long time ago. Also experienced my first close call with a car in a parking lot. They were coming to the end of the parking row, turning right, not looking left where I was. I saw them and figured they wouldn't look. I stopped, they roll through and then look back and say "sorry".
Another big thank you to Stude31 for help in buying a bike!

Some chrome already ordered! Wink Stude31 sent me a 3 page list of suggestions. The wife saw the list and has started her own list of things for her and the house. Oh well, fair is fair. 22 happy years together as of yesterday!!

Great to hear Bark2!  That Stude31 is a heck of a guy.  Remember, it's called "SAFETY CHROME" to keep you visible to cages and others...  That should help...  hehe

Welcome to the assylum, you're gonna love it here...

I once told a lady friend of mine when she bought her bike,, "let me put this in terms you wil understand, you just bought the prom dress, now you must buy the shoes, jewelery and all the other stuff to go with the dress". About 6 months of bike stuff later I saw her one day and she said now she knew what I meant when I said that to her.

HEY!!!  I just saw this post!!

Real funny GearJammer!  But yeah she is slowly getting into all these crazy folks on the VRCC!  I kinda did what dad did w/ me when I was learning how to swim.  He just threw me in the deep in and said start swimming!!   Undecided  Now that I think about it he did that to me with my first bicycle!!

So I kinda did that with Jessi also  Evil  oopsie!  yeah Bark is bringing his bike and all his goodies over on sunday and I will be tearing that thing down and having a good time doing it too  cooldude

Sure glad I could share with you all my vrcc friends BARK!  Enjoy the great friendships that you will make on here!  I have plenty of good folks on here to introduce you to one of these days!

Hay thanks for the kind words...  But, I think your a better guy than I am!  Looking forward to seeing you at one of these get togethers Hay...  Not going to be able to make the romp in the swamp... I work that weekend  Sad
