Grew up in IN, but haven't spent much time there the last 30 yrs.  If you have the time, there is some gorgeous country down in the southeast part of the state (Switzerland County).....a good ride would be along the IN side of the Ohio River from Rising Sun all the way over towards Rockport (or Evansville).  You'll see great views of the hilly country, the river, old timey little towns,....I used to love this ride.
The country around Nashville is cool, so it is around Rockville (covered bridges)/Turkey Run state park.
Have fun and enjoy the tour!
If time allows, the George Rogers Clark memorial in Vincennes is very worthwhile.

You are coming down to my neck of the woods.  Let me know when you are coming and maybe we can hook up.  A few suggestions for you.  Highway 45 from Bean Blossom to Bloomington,  return via Highway 446 to 58 to 135 into Storey is a nice ride.  Highway 135 from Nashville south to Ohio river is a nice ride.  Highway 56 from Madison to Lawrenceburg along river is nice.  Cell is 812-216-4573 if you have any questions or trouble while down here.

SR 45 was closed in Bean Blossom last I knew.  I was there less than a week ago.  The detour is easy, but the road is closed right at the Rail Road tracks.

Thanks for all the info. Went through Nashville then on to Story Inn road was recently re-stoned but not bad just took it easy on the curves. Then shot over to Greensburg and the next morning my GPS had me turn  east on CR 500 which was great hilly curves and good scenery,  Brooksville dam was also a good stop. Our best road we found. Sure seen lot of corn. Weather was excellent.
