Planning a labor day weekend ride and would like to ride the dragon if its open.

Does anyone know if its open both ways? Last I heard it was only open on the NC side so any info would be appreciated.

If you need a nice place to stay try The Phillips Motel in Robbinsville,NC ...Its 18 miles from Deals Gap it's American owned and has a nice resturant next door. Keep in mind if you like a adult beverage to bring it with you cause Robbinsville is DRY. The Dragon has been opened since early June....Watch for the law as they work it pretty hard .

Yup, it's open, but Labor Day weekend might look more like a parade going up and down the mountain.  Grin
