If all your devices are Bluetooth it works well with no wires  Smiley. That is what I have and it works great.  cooldude

I have no knowledge of the unit you posted so can't comment on that but if you want any specific advice on BT stuff let me know.

Personally, I have a bad taste in my mouth for J&M mdse.

For one thing their Customer Service sucks.
Any problem you have they try to turn it around and blame you for it's failure.

Here is my choice.  It used to be Cycle Com, but when Ron passed away, Air Rider bought his patents and the name Cycle Com from his wife.

I have a cycle com head set that is over 28 year old and still works like a champ.

We are new happy owners for a 98 Std. This is my first posting so please be patient with use. I will get pictures and introduction together. Thanks for all the info. I have had a good time reading and learning.

One of the things I had to have with are new Dragon was to be able to talk with my lady. Talking was always a big thing when we travel. I looked around and found the Scalarider_G4 system it had all the features at the best price. http://www.cardosystems.com/  . This unit has worked out well for us. I paired up her phone with her head set and my phone with my head set. Got a blue tooth dong for the Sirius Radio and paired it with both head sets. Plan on getting a GPS that is blue tooth compatible.
The only complain that I found with the system is that I think the noise reduction system gets raped up and starts crackling. Turning the head set off and back on clears this up. I have not been to the web site to see if there is a firmware fix for this problem. One of my projects when I get home.

I have one of these on my 97 Standard and absolutely love it. The intercom works great, and there is very little wind noise. I use the aux. jack for a satelite radio, so I have jams when I want them.
Unlike RJ, I have had great customer service with them. The unit quit working once on a ride. I ended up pulling it from the bike and sending it in to them. Ended up the passengers seat had crushed the cord and caused it to short out. They replaced the cord, and repaired the unit @ no charge. They even shipped it back free.
I would recommend them to anyone.

RJ,

I have had the opposite.  Great service.  Owner himself emails me. They have looked at their stuff for me, looking for a fault.  I think I pinched a wire under my tank, and they will check and fix for free, just need time to take the tank off to get it out.

I have had A1 service from them.

Along these same lines... Does anyone know of either a CB OR a FRS/GMRS radio that works over Bluetooth? I'm getting a Bluetooth headset for my helmet mainly for tunes, helmet to helmet comm and phone calls (I know, I know... Hang up and RIDE!) but I'd also like to feed a CB or FRS/GMRS radio through it too, but so far haven't been able to find either one with a Bluetooth hookup...

I have the J&M CB2003 and a Garmin Zumo 660.  J&M offers integration kits to marry their CB to various GPS units that feed the GPS audio out through the CB's headset.  In my case, I receive navigation prompts, music via the Garmin's built-in MP3 player (fed by 16GB microSDHC card) and iPhone via bluetooth through the J&M headset.  It's a really cool, if expensive, setup that can be DIY.

FB, several of us up here have had good dealings with Clay's Radios in Weatherford, TX.  He's a stocking J&M (and other gear) dealer, and would be a great resource for questions and answers.  And, if you and HG rode up here to have any work done, I'm sure we could rustle up some north-siders to keep you company.

Scalia Rider 4.  Bob & I bought Scalia Rider 3 last year and then they came out with Scalia Rider 4.  Supposed to have better signal than the 3 model and have longer range.  We are happy with ours. Goggle them, I don't have a link I can post and I don't know how if I did have the link...lolol!  Check em out though, it might be just what you want.
