Interstates have a nice stainless steel "slinky" that looks MUCH nicer than the black cheezy one that comes on other Valks. I have put one on all 3 of our Valks.

I went to a auto speed shop,got a stainless steel rad hose cover, looks good and protects the hose.

How about HDL?  I believe the metal "slinky" (as opposed to the plastic cover) is part no. 19123-MBY-000 and costs $27.72.  Probably ought to check with someone at HDL to make sure it is the one you are looking for.

Ron Ayers and Bike Bandit also list the part at slightly higher prices.

They switched to the stainless in 2000. All IS already had them, but the Standard and Tourer got them as well in '00. The turn signals were also swtiched to IS style (one screw type) at this time.
