Well...

We got up at 5:30 this morning to head to Kansas City International airport for him to take his flight (118.00 flight I might ad!!!!!  what a deal!!!) to Providence, RI to pick up his Interstate and ride it back to Kansas.  He was like a kid in the candy store as far as his excitement to get his "new to him" bike.   I can't wait to see it.

Had a great time last night, my wife and I really enjoyed his company and hopefully he has a good ride back home.  Weather here in Kansas looks like it could rain anytime so I hope he doesn't have to run into it on his way home.

Joe.

Be careful John...  See ya soon bud!  cooldude

I look forward to seeing his new ride. With any luck his trip will go as mine did - without any incident or rain.

Sounds like a blast!! How far is the ride --- how many miles and how long does he anticipate it taking?

John hit the road after noon today, Rain was letting up a little, maybe he will chime in at the hotel tonight and let us know, My wife John and myself had a great seafood dinner last night on the Island here by our house,We had some Stuffy's, Cod, Shrimp, Calamari, We were able to take pictures around the corner this morning at Beaver Tail Lighthouse on the way to pick up his bike, And he even paid for dinner!! Enjoyed his company, wished he had come to vacation so we could have done some more sightseeing. stude31 good talking with you last knight.....if you hear from him on his journey post us...FSTSIX

I talked to john a few hours ago when he made a wrong turn and was in Middletown,CT (Guess "gpsJoe" could have helped him  2funny  )

Anyhow. I have him on google lattitude and it looks like he is nearing Scranton, PA.  Here is a picture of what I see when I look up his location.  This was at 5:42 cst.

fstsix:  It was great to visit with you and your wife last night on speaker phone from John's cell phone.  I have added visiting you and enjoying the great memories of traveling to Rhode Island when I was a kid to visit my mom's family in West Warwick.  I miss those days and I want to take my son and wife up there sometime to show them how great the new england states are.   John spoke very highly of you and your hospitality that you provided him.  All though when I made the fatal error of asking what he had for dinner I told him to stop telling me cause I was jealous!!!   tickedoff

He was going to try and make it to X-canucks place in Canton,Oh but I think he is just planning on staying on track to make it home in the fastest time.  I hope to hear from John tonight he said that he is really liking his bike but it is taking him some time to get use to the floor boards.

I'll post more later  cooldude

Joe.

P.s  Ride safe John... Praying for your safety and arriving home in good spirits after a long ordeal making the purchase.

Yes i will be there, I would have posted on the New England board about engemt's arrival here, but it was more of a shoot a kill journey for him, with some time line stress for him to get right back home, Hoping we can see him and any member again up here from down south that can make the trip as a Tour, and not so much as a investment trip, So without making my friends up here feel guilty about not meeting him on his short stay "and i do mean short"  i did not post anyone sorry if anyone was left out, I had all intentions of a escort with my bike and we got hit with a Nor easter that 3 days  Undecided  Looking forward to seeing you Karen......You still holding that Grinda? LOL!!!  Grin
