I took advantage of the cooler weather this evening and finished cleaning the bike. My cousin in Fritch, TX is heading up a biker benefit this weekend for their local fire department, which has turned into a yearly thing. Figured I will head up and help out...besides it gets me out of the house on the bike.
Noticed while I was cleaning, that I will be replacing the rear Avon soon. Haven't decided which way I am going. I have done the darkside thing on the other Valk when I lived in the Carolinas. May do that again, hell the roads are straighter here and I didn't have problems before.
Been running Avon Venoms with a lot of success, wondering how the Cobra is doing? Any thoughts?
I only average about 6k miles on a rear tire. Which is ok too, it forces me to inspect and clean the rear end that way.
Anyway, if you see a red and black I/S on 287 Friday heading north.. wave.. it might be me!! I will be the fat guy on the fat lady with my wife holding on for dear life behind me!! And if you are in the Panhandle come on out to Fritch Saturday morning. Poker run, then all day get together with band(s) that evening from the area. I always have a good time!!
