I recently purchased my first Valkyrie so I'm not yet very savvy regarding problems.  The trouble I'm having is the front brake lever does not pull in smoothly.  It sticks at various intervals until I apply more pressure, then the brakes grab harder than I intended.  It's not warped discs or worn out pads.  Any suggestions?   Thanks.

Remove, clean and grease the lever, its pivot points and contacts.

Simple, quick and easy, always the first thing to check on the front brake or clutch.

Let us know the results.

I agree, first things first.

If that doesn't do it, flush the fluid, pull the pucks, clean and re-assemble. Shouldn't be to bad. Worst case, you'll have some corrosion, but do the simple stuff first.

Good luck and welcome.

i worked on a valk 2 years ago that had the same problem..what i found was the brass bushing in the handle was to long and was protruding far enough that when you tightened the bolt the handle would bind up..took a file and filed the bushing down..and put some grease on the bolt before re-assembly..worked like a charm afterwards.
