Babe, that's great news, diet & exercise should keep you from having to take meds. Get some sugar pills at the pharmacy, so if you have low blood sugar (shakes, hot, cold, different symptoms for different folks) (whatever you were feeling before you blacked out) you can just chew a couple of them. High blood sugar causes long term damage to blood vessels, & over time, vision, nerves, everything can be affected, but low blood sugar can kill you, if you pass out in a bad situation, or you could go into a coma. I've had type 2 for about 15 years, and kept going up on my meds gradually, until I decided to lose some weight this year. I'm off almost all my medications, and exercise is mostly walking, with an occasional bicycle ride, doesn't have to be overly strenuous, just done regularly. I'm using the HMR program, the plan comes with medical support, I've dropped 70 lbs in 25 weeks, and haven't felt this good in years.
