Good Afternoon to you all. I want to again thank you all for your prayers for my husband and myself. I wanted to give you all an update. I went to my Dr. yesterday and he went over all the test that they gave me in the hospital, and everything looked really good. He told me that he was 99% sure that it was a low blood sugar. The only bad news was that if I dont change the way I eat and loose some weight that it will be full blown diabetes in a few years. So I got up this morning and after a light breakfast my dog and I went for a 1 1/2 mile walk. I feel really good. I know that the power of prayer can work miracles and I thank you all for that miracle. Love to all from Grand Junction CO. Smiley

That's good news if they can narrow it down to blood sugar.

I've been a diagnosed type 2 diabetic for two years now.  It's encouraging what can be done by a little change in diet and abandoning a few habits.

You'll do alright.  I'm hoping that's all it was.   cooldude

Babe, that's great news, diet & exercise should keep you from having to take meds. Get some sugar pills at the pharmacy, so if you have low blood sugar (shakes, hot, cold, different symptoms for different folks) (whatever you were feeling before you blacked out) you can just chew a couple of them. High blood sugar causes long term damage to blood vessels, & over time, vision, nerves, everything can be affected, but low blood sugar can kill you, if you pass out in a bad situation, or you could go into a coma. I've had type 2 for about 15 years, and kept going up on my meds gradually, until I decided to lose some weight this year. I'm off almost all my medications, and exercise is mostly walking, with an occasional bicycle ride, doesn't have to be overly strenuous, just done regularly. I'm using the HMR program, the plan comes with medical support, I've dropped 70 lbs in 25 weeks, and haven't felt this good in years. Best of luck taking control of your life and your future, you've already made a good start!
