A friend of mine who lives in Cushing, just west of Nacogdoches, owns this bike. He ask me several times to ride it, but I was just toooo timid to try it. It is so powerful, it you are not careful, revving it up too hard will tip it over to the right. I promised him I would ride my bike next time and we could go for a ride, at which time I will ride it. The fuel tank looks to be about two feet wide. Awesome.

The Victory Vision definitely wins the "Ugliest bike ever made" contest in my eyes... It's the Pontiac Aztek of motorcycles... ya' just look at it and ask... WTF were they THINKING???

The Boss Hoss' have always intrigued me, but the lack of a manual transmission (And that they only use GM engines is now of importance too) has kept me from ever seriously considering one...

Now, you got me wondering, what's wrong with a GM Chevrolet engine?

That's it, sorry, I really apologize, wasn't trying to drag the politics of the other board into here, but it'll be a cold day in you know where before I ever buy a GM anything, and I'll just leave it at that...

...although I do think it'd be cool if they could get the 3.5 Liter Nissan V6 into a bike... Nearly 300 HP stock oughta a V6 would be fun! Wink

Didn't mean to start a versus war either, just thought it might be something mechanical irking "The Serk". I have nothing against either brand, have owned both, and supplied both with a lot of
stimulus money of my own. Now I try to keep my stimulus money and try to wear out what ever I'm driving or riding. Save some for some worthy charity.

I think the Vision is a gorgeous bike. I think it's a shame its got a V-twin in its chest. My fantasy is a Vision with the KMV4 from Katech in it.

evolution?, its the same 1909 45 degree, 2 valve engine design.

1909 The six-year-old Harley-Davidson Motor Company introduces its first V-twin powered motorcycle. With a displacement of 49.5 cubic inches, the bike produces seven horsepower. The image of two cylinders in a 45-degree configuration would fast become one of the most enduring icons of Harley-Davidson history. Also available for the first time from the Motor Company are spare parts for motorcycles.

I'm clearly missing something here. How can you not like a motorcycle with a V-8 stuffed in it? That's almost like saying you don't like a car with a supercharged hemi because someone put it in the "wrong" body or because you prefer Chevy small blocks. It's all horsepower - beautiful, wonderful horsepower!   Heck, I didn't like the body on the 68 AMX, but that 390 would light up the tires in every gear from almost any RPM. How can you not like that??????   Grin

We now resume our regularly scheduled program (and everyone is invited).  Smiley

For what it's worth, the Government Motors thing is ancillary... My primary complaint against the Boss Hoss is that it's not a motorcycle, it's a scooter...

They make a motorcycle version of it, and I'd be far more interested, but I'm just not interested in an automatic...

Don't misunderestimate me, they are very interesting, and given the chance I'd love to ride one, but no interest in owning one under their current mechanical configuration...

I'd almost give a nut to own one.  I sat beside one at a light one day and I could feel the ground shaking under the beast.  I'm a hot-rodder from the seventies and my dad drag raced in the sixties, IMHO the only true hotrod's have V8's in them.  I know the current 4 bangers are fast but they do not have a commanding presence like a V8 does.  I was joking up there in my last post; I'd own it with a Ford or Chevy motor, with a manual or automatic transmission.
