Why would anyone shave a cow like that?

Broussard, Louisiana

« on: September 01, 2010, 10:37:28 AM »

Used the old, "If you don't mind...if it's ok...." and Red said it was OK if I went for a ride this weekend.  In all honesty, she has been telling me, "Enjoy your weekend.  You won't have many more rides after this time home.  You know you wish you would have if you don't." the whole time, but I had to check with her and get her OK and OK has been given.  Whooo-Hooooo!  cooldude

I have to take her shopping Friday morning and need to BBQ on Sunday, so that gives me Friday afternoon and Saturday to feel some wind.  Sure am glad that she said it was OK, so I didn't have to cancel the reservations I had made in Natchez on Friday this morning.  WHEW!  Cheesy

So, I should be meeting up with the Spyder and, most importantly, the Spyder Ryder coming from Texas on Friday and we will be groovin' on some neat backroads from Lafayette to Natchez and will get up there Friday afternoon some time.  I can't wait to see everyone again - been way too long.  I will see what I can make Saturday for the ride, but will be peeling off on Saturday some time and shooting back to the swamplands.  Be able to get SOME wind in with ya'll though.

See ya'll Friday - safe winds!

I think FB and I may be riding up the same road that Wizard, Lyn Del and Early Bird and I rode up to Cheaha last year.  Good ride with some nice roads that follows the levee along the river.  Shoot, now I gotta go rewire the bike and throw some water across her I guess.  uglystupid2

You're joining in.. and I might be bailing out...  Cry

No decision yet... but my partner bailed... and I am not a huge fan of riding that far alone...  Just not as much fun for me.

Strider, after we get done at the Vicksburg Military Park we have to head back to Jackson to get back on the Trace.  You can jump on I-55 there to head back home.

I found out last night I have a Biology test Tuesday night so I need some time to study.  I'v got a few options.  I can take my book and notes with me and study at night in the hotel rooms.  I really don't see me being able to concentrate.  I can bail either Saturday after Vicksburg or Sunday morning in Boonesville.  The final option is not going at all and that is NOT going to happen if I can help it.   All ya'll are welcome to chime in with your opinion.

If I make it, I am heading north rapidly Sunday Morning.  There isn't any planned ride Sunday at all is there?

See ya Friday Joe!  WHOO-HOO!

Marty, that was why I had asked the other day what the plan for the ride on Saturday was.  Folks are saying ride the Trace the whole way and also mention Vicksburg Military Park and Windsor Ruins.  If we go to Vicksburg, we either have to backtrack the whole way back to Natchez - in which case I will just stay on 61 and shoot back home from Natchez (or slide over and hit 65 south from Vicksburg) or superslab to Jackson in which case, I will probably just slide on down 61 (or 65) anyway from Vicksburg.  If you superslab over to Jackson, you are going to miss about half of the Trace through Mississippi.

I was trying to figure out where I needed to peel out from - don't matter - I am just following the tail lights in front of me until it's time to turn south again.  I will get some wind with the crew on Saturday.

I can't wait!!!!!!!!!

Warren the easiest way to get back on the Trace from Vicksburg is to slab over to Jackson and jump back on it.
