I'm 44k miles up on my blower bike since fitting the Magna Charger and I feel the supplied Keihin carb is shot. Fitted a Kawasaki fuel pump (thanks Russell) which is so much better than that rattly Facet job and I'm looking for a replacement carb.
Anybody use any other make ? (I seem to remember JeffK tried a Mikuni flat slide) and if so what were the results and have you any jetting figures.
Or can I change that long 'J' tube manifold and fit the latest manifold from Magna or are more parts needed?
Looking at pics I feel I could machine up a similar manifold but any hints on pitfalls would be appreciated.
I know some of you are going to say Fuel Injection but thats a project on hold 'till retirement.
BTW just bought a low mileage stock black Valk from my good friends Antonio and Dianne. They bought it new in '02 and with only 62k miles on it runs like its just come out of the crate.
I've put a further 8k on her as she is now our tour bike. So-oooo fuel economy is not such a big problem on the blown Valk we just will not use her on long trips.
Image should show yours truly (trying to look moody) on said blower Valk somewhere in France en route to Spain.

6 years with the Magnacharger..I have a 45 Flatslide Mikuni and still have the J tube bypass. NOS motorcycle pump  cooldude quiet of coarse. the 45 will fit as a replacement swap out for that Kehin, you will have to make a spacer for the gas tank mount in the front for clearance 1-1/2 inch, my MPG has been as high as 36 on long trips it was well worth the change..Nice bike you got there  cooldude
