It took a while, but I finally got into the new board. You know how it is.. this new modern day technology is just so far over a youngins head. Smiley
I'm so gald to be back on, though!!

Haven't been riding much, but did get to go flying last weekend. My uncle took me up this time, he's been bugging me to go up with him for a while, but was always more comfortable with my grandpa. But, I went with him, and it was really fun! He let me fly a bunch, and would help me and give me suggestions on how to make the plane do what I wanted. I've gotta say, my turns are pretty darn good. After he let me fly a while, he took over and we had some fun. We did a few power-on stalls, chandelles (I LOVE those! You climb really fast, getting pushed into your seat, then just before you stall you drop the nose and add some throttle, making your stomach fly up into your head. It feels like you're getting ripped from your seat, and are going to shoot straight through the top of the plane.) and some lazy eights. After we finished playing, he let me fly back to the airport then line it up with the runway. I got the plane lined up and just before we touched down, he took over the controls.
Unfortunately, that was very, very possibly my last ride in the little Cub. Someone in Arizona, I think, is buying it. That's a major bummer.
That flight is pretty much the high-light of my spring break. Not too much else has been going on, expect for that monster of a storm we got yesterday. Now the sun's out and shining and the snow should be gone in no time (I hope).

I'm REALLY glad to be back on here! I've really missed it!

It is a lot of fun, and I am really lucky to have so many people who also love to fly in my family. I want to go up with my cousin someday... he's more wild and likes to do the twisty, stomach wrenching stuff. But, he'll fly straight and smooth too, if you ask him.
Even when you're not flying, just hanging around the airport with the other pilots is fun. You can learn a lot.

I was talking to Bear and Jill tonight.  I think he will call you and Misfit tomorrow or so.  Been thinking about you and your entire family lately and haven't heard much from ya.  I sent you a couple of emails from Africa.  My soul is missing the poetry and life you brought.

As for flying, when I was growing up, Bear kept getting me in a little rental plane and then explain, after we took off, that he was up to practice his stalls, etc.  Embarrassed Embarrassed

YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH-WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAA-GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEZE!!!!!!!  crazy2

This was the guy who would later go in the Air Force as a wheezer!  (RF-4 and F-111).

I am serious, I think he was just using me as ballast!  Angry

Whaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!!!!!!  Shocked Shocked Shocked

(But ya know, I loved EVERY MINUTE OF IT!!!!!  Wouldn't trade one second of it for anything!!!!!!)

Glad you are enjoying it as well Lil'One..........The Air Force Academy is right next door to you!  Roll Eyes

Blast me an email when ya can and let me know how you are doing little sister.......  cooldude Wink
